Types of activity
FSRC "Construction", according to the authorized programs of fundamental, search and applied research, experimental design and technological works, carries out the following types of activity:
-Development of theoretical and practical aspects of analysis and designing of structures, buildings and engineering facilities to secure their strength, stability and reliability and their fire safety and fire-endurance as well;
-Development of the theory and practical issues of dynamics and seismic responce of buildings, structures and their bases;
-Development of problematic issues of the soils mechanics, realization of inspections and strengthening of the bases, designing of the footings for buildings and underground structures;
-Solution of problems of construction in extreme conditions, protection of inhabited settlements against natural and industrial hazards;
-Solution of problems of inspection, reconstruction and renovation of inhabited, public and industrial buildings and development of ways of their strengthening;
-Solution of problems of industrial landfill and wastes reclamation and protection of soils and bases;
-Development of physical and chemical bases of building materials production;
-Creation of new technologies of manufacturing for building materials, products and structures, including materials on the basis of local raw material;
-Development and creation of new effective composite materials, new kinds of reinforcement, new binder systems and concrete on their basis;
-Solution of problems of durability for building materials and structures;
-Creation of radiation proof composite materials for burials of radioactive and other hazardous waste;
-Development of physical and chemical methods of researches;
-Development of building codes and rules, state standards, regional codes, standards of enterprise and other normative documents;
-Performance of certification tests and examinations, including ones for the purposes of licensing by state bodies;
-Participation in development and realization of state scientific and technical and other programs in the field of construction;
-Implementation of training of post graduate and doctoral students, including students from foreign countries;
-Organization and realization of works of accreditation councils for Ph.D. and Dr.Sc(Eng) degree;
-Continuing and advance education programs and courses for the experts of designing and building organizations.
